Kelly heard about me through Poe Studio, a tiny little treasurebox of a store in the Avondale area of West Ashley. They specialize in eco-friendly toys, childrens’ clohes and shoes, and locally made jewelry and clothing. It’s a really cool shop and one day while there I realized they were carrying my friend’s awesome jewelry line from NYC, Saucier Jewelry. I quickly realized I would probably hit it off with any parents who shopped there so I gave some of my business cards to the owner and asked her to take a look at some of my work. Lucky for me, Kelly called me right up out of the blue to see if I could photograph her twins, Madeline and Grant, who were turning one. We had a blast, I started focusing more on weddings and less on children and a whole year went by. Imagine my surprise when I got an email from Kelly asking if I was still in Charleston and if I could photograph Madeline and Grant again for their second birthday! What an honor and what a joy it was to get to see them again and see the big differences one simple year made in their features and personalities! They are absolutely adorable. It sure was fun to do this for them and I love the diversity of being able to capture so many different things through my photographs, including the innocence of beautiful little children like Madeline and Grant. Here are just a few of my favorites. Thanks so much, Kelly and Joe, and I look forward to seeing you all again when they turn three!
