Carrie and Jonny, who I love dearly, had the most magnificent wedding at The Presbyterian Church on Edisto Island.  The day was full of excitement and joy and I was thrilled to be a part of it all.  It was hard to catch these two without a smile and it was plain to see that this day was one they had both been anxiously waiting for.  I believe they will look back and remember this as one of the best days of their lives – or should I say “weekends.” They had a full schedule of festivities and events for their many friends and family (including a fun and lazy day floating down the river in innertubes and other creative flotation devises).  They were in the company of much love and support.  Although this couple currently lives in San Francisco, Middleton Plantation on the island provided the perfect backdrop for a real Southern wedding reception and the flowers and decorations from Out of Hand were absolutely beautiful.  I definitely recommend the Mighty Kicks to anyone looking for a really fun party band for their wedding.  They were great – and good thing because these guests came with their dancing shoes on and ready for a party!  They danced all night long! Many blessings to Carrie and Jonny as they start their new and wonderful life together!

Carrie’s best friend, Allison, (whose wedding I was also so lucky to photograph), delivered her baby girl the morning of the wedding. Helen Elizabeth Abramson, going by Libby, weighing in at 7lbs 12 oz and 20 inches long. Carrie was sad not to have her maid of honor there but we all agreed Allison had a pretty good excuse!

I am in love with yellow and the vintage feel of the decorations at their reception.  Carrie and Jonny had their engagement photos framed and placed on every table.  It added a fabulous personal touch!

I love this sweet moment.  Carrie looks like she might cry as her father walks her down the aisle.

It’s official!! Look at my ring!!

  • Carrie and Jonny,
James and I were thrilled to reconnect with you today after meeting you in Charleston in March at Grady Ervinis! The Durham Ranger Bow Ties look so nice with the gray suits, you were absolutely right about that, and the photos are stunning. Thank you for using High Cotton Ties in your wedding, we were honored to be a part of it. Congratulations, again, to you both!
